Tuia Mātauranga supports teaching and learning about our dual heritage, shared future. It highlights local people, places, and events that have helped shape our nation's histories.
This programme is aimed at inspiring children, young people, and their whānau to explore their own stories of who they are and where they come from, and to develop a more in-depth knowledge of their whakapapa and identity.
Tuia Mātauranga has four main topics: voyaging, first encounters, AotearoaNew Zealand histories, and legacy of learning.
